Nice breakdown of X & the way their algorithm work. I’d suggest they have what I call a velocity based algorithm - the quicker the engagement the more accounts that are unlocked to that tweet and dominos the more engagement it receives.
Very similar to how LinkedIn used to work.
The more we are engineered not to engage and are served more non follower content the smaller less active accounts will surface and grow
Great point. I think X will change a lot in the next 6-12 months. Elon mentioned we're in a post-tweet era with companies now uploading 1-3 hour videos. They'll likely need to rework how they classify and recommend content, maybe using vectorization to make discovery more like TikTok's "For You" page. What do you think?
Still looking through them but the psychology ones are very interesting - its what I look into myself nutrition, performance etc. most of consumerism is targeted at people’s psychology - I just find it quite interesting
Makes sense to me. X are after the less risk adverse YouTube audience. My fear is brands won’t ever be able to control what or where their content will be served and the brand risk will be too high.
Likewise with creators they’ll have the same issue.
It will change but the anything goes direction x is going in won’t make it a place many will want to or have to play
I can see it being challenging for brands, but for small to medium creators and tech builders, it could be a great space for idea exchange and knowledge sharing.
Yes I think this is even better if you start focussed. I’ve an old account that has been active and dormant so I’d nearly prefer to start with a new account.

This was actually very insightful. Thank you for breaking it down and sharing the details!
Thanks Vaibjav. What parts did you find interesting? I added some good videos to watch also in the "Rabbit Hole" section.
The “Golden Hour” Effect sounds very unique and sometimes, I have also observed. Will watch the videos too!
Read a couple of your pieces now and liking the content - nice and easy to read - subscribed!
Thanks Dr! Glad to have you onboard! What topics interest you the most?

Thanks for sharing this. I assume the same recommendations applies to anyone who starts on X from scratch
